Paula & Bobby Deen Visit Miami Children’s Hospital
Celebrity chef Paula Deen visited Miami Children’s Hospital to coincide with the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival held in Miami. Joined by her son and fellow celebrity chef Bobby and husband Michael Groover, Deen spent time with patients and their families in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, offering hope and smiles. The special visitors also painted with children in the hospital’s playroom and visited the Michael Fux Family Center, which offers home-like amenities to families who have children in the hospital. “Considering there are so many sick children here, it is such a happy, happy place,” said Deen. “I swear I think I saw angels above the heads of these doctors here. The place is filled with angels.”
