Premiere Screening of “Portraits of Inspiration”
Florida Women of Achievement (FWA) held a VIP reception and screening to mark the launch of Scherley Busch’s new documentary series, “Portraits of Inspiration.” The first film in the Series, ‘The Power Nun,’ a biopic about Sister Jeanne O’Laughlin, was shown for a full house at the Miracle Theatre. Co-Hosting this celebration in honor of Sister Jeanne were the Hon. Katherine Fernandez Rundle and Trish & Dan Bell. Major sponsors include the Lynn & Louis Wolfson II Family Foundation, Mary M. Spencer, Sue Miller, Trish & Dan Bell, Baptist Health South Florida, Smilka Melgosa and Paul & Swanee DiMare. ‘The Power Nun’ features the story of Sister Jeanne O’Laughlin, an educator and humanitarian who changed the lives of many around the globe. President of Barry University for 23 years, Sister Jeanne was one of the first women in Florida to break down barriers in her own style and to be accepted into the exclusively all male boardrooms during the Women’s Movement.
