Brunch is always a good idea! Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida recently hosted the Retro Splash Bash Brunch and Pool Party, a day of fun, food, fashion, and philanthropy. Chaired by Danielle Gonzalez and Jen Montoya, the Retro Splash Bash included an upscale brunch, silent auction, music, kid-friendly activities, and a pool party at the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach. This highly-anticipated event was hosted by WSVN-7’s Alex de Armas and Dale McLean, the in-arena host for the Miami HEAT. Emma, a 13-year-old with a congenital heart disease, was also in attendance and shared the story of her upcoming wish with all of the guests. Emma’s heartwarming story and excitement for her wish to go to Paris this summer inspired the whole crowd. In all, 300 people attended, raising more than $100,000 to grant life-changing wishes for critically-ill children in South Florida. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
