Designed for a Cure
After NY Fashion Week and despite a blizzard in NYC earlier in the day, Oscar de la Renta arrived in Miami to attend Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s signature fundraising event, Designed for a Cure, and support his doctor and close friend Dr. Stephen D. Nimer, Sylvester’s director.
The highlight of the evening was a powerful fashion show that featured Sylvester patients/survivors and their physicians walking the runway in Oscar de la Renta’s designs. Oscar de la Renta generously donated $100,000 to Sylvester to help raise awareness for cancer research.
