Downtown Shines
The Globetrotters were at Miami Children’s Museum, while the Coconut Grove Art Festival brought out an eclectic Miami crowd including our new mayor, Tomas Regalado. The Downtown Development Authority must have been beaming as the New World Symphony had a Valentine’s Day performance at the Gusman followed by its gala at the DuPont. The glamorous evening was hosted by film director David Frankel. Voices for Children was also downtown. Their annual gala was on Brickell Key at the Mandarin Oriental. Culinary Convergence
When the greatest names in the restaurant industry converge for the 2010 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, presented by Food and Wine Magazine from February 25 – 28 it will not only be for good food and good fun, it was also be for a good cause: Florida International University’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Celebrity chefs and personalities such as Rachael Ray, Emeril Lagasse, Ming Tsai, Paula Dean, Bobby Flay, Michael Lomonaco will join famed South Florida based chefs such as Michelle Bernstein, Kenny Lyon, Michael Schwartz, Jonathan Eismann and Allen Susser – to name just a handful of participants — to once again position Miami-Dade County as the culinary capital of the world during the festival.
Makeup at Saks Bal Harbour
Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour hosted an all-star beauty and style event along with Giorgio Armani Beauty’s National Creative Director and Celebrity Makeup Artist, Tim Quinn over Super Bowl weekend. Co-hosts included reality stars – celebrity stylist Michael Cohen and photographer Maria Lankina.
The team outfitted customers in the hottest spring trends – focusing on pastel tones and whimsical silhouettes. The star product at the event was the new Rouge d’Armani collection, which features 18 saturated lipstick shades, offering every woman the perfect shade to compliment their new spring look.
