Tropical Nights 10th Anniversary
Almost 600 supporters attended the 10th annual Tropical Nights benefiting the University of Miami – Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD) held at the InterContinental Miami; over $300,000 was raised to support the CARD program. The success of this event was critical to the agency’s survival. The annual signature event is the major fundraiser for the organization, and its proceeds fund free programs, services and research initiatives for nearly 6,500 individuals with autism, their families, and the professionals who serve them.

In partnership with Live Nation, Starwood Preferred Guest hosted a private cocktail reception followed by an acoustic set by acclaimed jazz singer/songwriter Jamie Cullum as he performed new tracks. The event was held at The St. Regis Bal Harbour – one of Starwood’s newest luxury resorts which opened this spring – exclusively for 150 members of the Starwood Preferred Guest program and their guests. The show was the first of SPG’s “Hear The Music, See The World” series of nine exclusive concerts, celebrating Starwood Hotels and Resorts nine distinct brands globally.
