SocialManny Episode 264: Tribute to Chadwick Boseman
Celebrity photographer Manny Hernandez remembers the leading actor who played the "Black Panther."

Chadwick Boseman, who played Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown and later the regal Black Panther in the Marvel cinematic universe, died of cancer. The star, who had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis, had died on the day that Major League Baseball was celebrating Jackie Robinson day. During his career, the actor made many stops to Miami including one in 2019, and celebrity photographer Manny Hernandez was there to capture the magic.







Manny Hernandez has been covering Miami’s social, lifestyle and art scenes for more than 30 years. Manny was born and raised in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood and is a proud alumnus of Miami-Dade College and Florida International University. In 2018, Manny was honored as one of the 12 Good Men by the Ronald McDonald House Charities and co-produced along with Broadway producer Richard Jay-Alexander, an exhibit in honor of famed press agent Charlie Cinnamon at the FIU Jewish Museum.
Manny recently authored his first book, CANDIDS Miami (Wynwood Books).
