On April 27 a who’s who of art collectors will converge on the seventh floor of 1111 Lincoln Road for the Locust Projects’ tenth annual Spring Fling event. A host committee including power-house names like Christies, Mario Cader-Frech, Debra & Dennis Scholl, Sotheby’s, The Related Group, Susie & Walid Wahab/ Wahab Construction, have teamed up for the planning of this signature event, which consistently attracts a diverse and enthusiastic group of South Florida’s top collectors, enthusiasts, and hipsters.

In signature Locust Projects fashion, Spring Fling attendees will be treated to delectable treats from Michael Schwartz’s Design District brainchild, Harry’s Pizzeria, Miami Beach’s Shake Shack, Khong River House, Yardbird, Macchialina, Swine and Misha’s Cupcakes. The Luxury Goods Silent Auction will feature auction items like gift certificates to Marni, Todd’s and Neiman Marcus.

But the highlight of the evening is Locust Projects’ newly formatted “silent art auction” featuring hand-picked and internationally-renowned artists such as Hernan Bas, Nathan Carter, Francesca DiMattio, Kate Gilmore, Jon Pylypchuk, Retna, Cristina Lei Rodriguez and Andrew Schoultz. An online catalog is available on the Locust Projects website.

On Friday April 19, Locust Projects will host an Art Auction Preview Cocktail Party at the gallery and patrons will have an opportunity to view the artworks in person and start bidding (works will remain on view through April 25).

This event is part of Locust Projects’ pop up event series, One Night Stands, which features venues across the city.

Tickets for Spring Fling are $150 per person and $125 for Locust Projects members. Visit LocustProjects.org, or call 305-576-8570.
