Rushing Through Art Basel
SocialMiami’s Social Scribe hosted a fantastic shopping event with Russell Simmons at Jackie Abraham Jewelers in Bay Harbor. Proceeds from the sales went to Russell’s Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.
The event marked the opening of Jackie Abraham’s new boutique on Kane Concourse in Bay Harbor Islands (just a few blocks west of Bal Harbour Shops). Some of you may remember Jackie from the Loehemann’s Plaza Jewelry Exchange.
Because of success there and the stellar reputation he built, Jackie has opened his own store, co-designed by hipster decorator Briggs Solomon. The salon is gorgeous – white, crisp and oh-so chic – the décor allows the gems to sparkle.

Miami Children’s Museum
VIP guests followed the “Yellow Brick Road” down to The Wizard of Oz Inspirations of Oz Fine Art & Ruby Slipper Collections exhibited at Miami Children’s Museum (MCM). This invite-only reception hosted by Romero Britto and Yolanda & Jeff Berkowitz featured champagne and desserts to celebrate the opening of these two dazzling collections.

Acclaimed furniture designer, Stefano Bigo, showcased a live photo shoot of his new line, GLOBOS, from La Cividina during Art Basel. The special design breakfast was open to both the trade and the public and gave attendees the opportunity to meet Bigo in person.
Limo to Lunch
Benefitting Florida Heart Research Institute
A good time was had by all following a sumptuous champagne reception and informal modeling hosted by Neiman Marcus, Coral Gables in the St. John Department. Guests in groups of ten drew a surprise restaurant and were then transported by limo to a healthy multi-course lunch.
