The Cleveland Orchestra Celebrates Ten Spectacular Seasons in Miami

Gala Performances Feature Soprano Renée Fleming and Music Director Franz Welser-Möst

Cleveland Orchestra Miami’s inaugural Gala celebrates ten magnificent seasons that the orchestra has been a vital part of Miami’s cultural community. This spectacular Gala celebration, set for January 23, 2016, is a tribute to the enduring partnership of The Cleveland Orchestra and the Miami community in sharing world-class music through concert performances, education presentations and community events.

The 10th anniversary gala evening will feature Music Director Franz Welser-Möst and world-renowned soprano Renée Fleming joining The Cleveland Orchestra in performance at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts’ Knight Concert Hall. The program will include selections from Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur, Puccini’s La Bohème, Verdi’s Otello and Tosti’s song Aprile performed by Renée Fleming, and works by Mozart, Ravel and Verdi performed by The Cleveland Orchestra under the direction of Franz Welser- Möst.

Chaired by Susan and Jeffrey Feldman, with Honorary Chairs Florence and Sheldon Anderson, Hector Fortun, Jan Lewis, and Sue Miller, the gala will be an evening of incredible music. “We are delighted to feature superstar soprano Renée Fleming alongside Franz Welser-Möst and the magnificent Cleveland Orchestra for our first-ever gala,” said Chair Susan Feldman. “As we embark on the next ten years of this extraordinary partnership, we are proud to celebrate what we as a community have built with The Cleveland Orchestra. The evening begins at 6 p.m. at the Hotel Intercontinental Miami. Guests will valet park and be transported to the Arsht Center for the 7 p.m. concert performance. Following the concert, gala guests will be returned to the hotel for a cocktail reception and elegant dinner in the Ballroom.

Gala tickets are $2,000 (including premium concert and dinner seating), $1,500 (including preferred concert and dinner seating), and $1,000 (including concert and dinner seating).
