10 Years of Selfless Love

The Selfless Love Foundation hosted it’s 10 -year anniversary Gala at the Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa but Miami socializers were on the scene, including presenting sponsor Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits’ Arlene and Wayne Chaplin, in addition to Judge Bronwyn Miller, stylist Elysze Held and SocialMiami editor Brett Graff. Well-known names Palm Beachers were present including organization founders Ashley and Ed Brown and event chairs Eloise and John Paul DeJoria, the billionaire who founded Paul Mitchell and spoke about his own plight out of homelessness.
The sold-out affair was backed by sponsors including Patrón tequila and Weber Ranch vodka, so the cocktail combinations passed in crystal glasses perfectly complimented the usually clinking of champagne glasses. Guests bid on a sparkly silent auction of jewels from as they nibbled on lamb chops and foie gras. Jeweler Joe G. Pacetti – in town for season but also of Dallas and Aspen – donated a large aquamarine and diamond ring. And the ballroom was filled with generous supporters bidding to boost the lives of foster kids.
The organization works to improve the child welfare system, creating opportunities for more foster youth to find their forever families and thrive in adulthood. It works to be the thought leader for adoptions and transitioning youth in the state of Florida in driving changes to policy, practice, and process to reduce barriers to foster care adoption.
