Donnafugata for Dolce & Gabbana

Donnafugata, which partnered with Dolce & Gabbana to produce a wine collection wearing both stylish Italian names, hosted a lunch at Sofia in the Miami Design district. After a tour of the Dolce & Gabbana’s acclaimed exhibit at ICA, a handful of guests were treated to an extraordinary tasting. The Rosa rosé – it’s said that Steffano Gabbana favors this variety – Isolano white, the red wines Tancredi and Cuordilava, and Bollicina Gold, the refined sparkling rosé that rounded off the collection, were served alongside Sofia’s culinary specialties including raw ahi tuna with basil, bergamot aioli, gooseberry and pickled celery, wagyu tartar with truffle yuzu aioli, parmigiano, reggiano and basil oil, whole branzio and a bone-in veal chop.
Based in Sicily, Donnafugata is a five-generation family operated winery producing tailor-made wines with a focus on small, prestigious productions from unique territories and vineyards. The family has over 170 years of experience in producing Italian-made wine.
