Get in the Game: Sports, Art, Culture at PAMM

A mix of locals, artists, and collectors gathered at the Pérez Art Museum this week for the opening of “Get in the Game: Sports, Art, Culture,” the museum’s latest exhibition blending athletics with contemporary art debuting just before the Miami Open.
The exhibition features works from noteworthy artists including Carling Jackson, Jake Troyli and Shaun Leonardo, each presenting work that explored the deep connection between sports, identity, and culture. Troyli’s “Open season,” included expressive, movement filled paintings while Carling Jackson presented surreal portraits.
Beyond the galleries, the opening leaned into Miami’s signature social energy. Guests flowed between the exhibition and a lively reception, where a DJ playing a mix of hip hop and EDM kept the atmosphere upbeat and a bar added to the night’s easy, celebratory feel for the artists.

Alongside an open bar, local restaurants including Gordon Ramsey’s Hell’s Kitchen showcased bites from winning menus while the director of marketing introduced Ted Dimond, Daniil Medvedev Vicky Mboko, Qinwen Zheng, Felix Auger Aliassime, Tomas Etcheverry and Belinda Bencic.
