Flo Rida performs to support Best Buddies

Best Buddies, Flo Rida are Parisian Magic

Nearly 700 people attended the 22nd Annual Best Buddies Miami Gala including organization founder Anthony K. Shriver, philanthropist Carol Iacovelli, real estate royals Barbara and Jose Hevia as well as Lydia and Rudy Touzet, model Olivia Culpo, former Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and WSVNs sports anchor Donnovan Campbell. Named for the magic of Paris, the gala was titled Le Cirque de la Nuit and included a performance by multi-platinum Hip-Hop artist Flo Rida. It followed a 100K, six-star cycling event held in the morning and raised $2.8 million in total donations for Best Buddies International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating leadership opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Musical Magnates Perform Great Act of Kindness

Emilio and Gloria Estefan held the 11th annual Thanksgiving Day “Feed a Friend” event in the Miami Design District’s Jungle Plaza. There, the Estefan Kitchen owners and musical magnates performed one of their greatest acts of kindness: serving up heaping plates of hot turkey along with the traditional trimmings not to mention some Cuban classics — to families in need of assistance from organizations including Amigos for Kids, Chapman Partnership, and The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. Local luminaries Belkys Nerey, Stephanie Sayfie Aagaard, Christy Martin and Kristi Krueger came to support the cause while nationally recognized corporations such as Jet Blue, Seminole Hard Rock and Casino and Badia Spices provided sponsorships.
