Its been 50 years since the name of land preservationist and journalist was added to the park at the southern tip of Key Biscayne and now friends of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park are ready to celebrate. Over 400 guests will be at the full moon party featuring dancing to Miami fusion band Spam Allstars and DJ Le Spam. Proceeds go directly to the park and the list of event contributors is long, glamorous and includes The Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne, Bacardi, Rickenbacker Marina, La Despensa, Stefanos, SuViche, Novecento, Puntino, Salt, Winn Dixie, Secreto Gourmet, Golden Hog, LaDespensa, Peruvian Bites, Lean Orb, McCaughan & Mandiola and Tompkins Construction.

YoungArts Week Begins
YoungArts will kick off the new year with National YoungArts Week! The organization brings the nation’s most promising young artists across 10 disciplines to Miami for a program packed with master classes (finalists will learn from renowned artists including Tony Award winner Gavin Creel and Grammy Award-winning percussionist Joseph Gramley) and also performances. MADD Broward County is getting ready for its next event to raise awareness and funds to stop drunk and drugged driving, as well as to support the victims of these violent crimes. The Ultimate Software presents the La Croix & Lennox National Account Services Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K is sponsored by UBS. There will be bites by BRIO Tuscan Grille, mocktails by LaCroix, a silent auction, raffle prizes. Since 2011, Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K has raised over $1.75 million. Cox Media Groups Ellen Jaffe will be the emcee for the event.
