Art Wynwood
VIPs on Thursday night will gather at Art Wynwood’s opening event benefiting the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami. Open to the public on Friday and running until February 18th, the eighth edition at One Herald Plaza on Biscayne Bay will run alongside the Miami Yacht Show, which will feature an in-water display of superyachts from custom boat builders. This year’s fair highlights include artist Ron English being honored with the fifth Art Wynwood Tony Goldman Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award, which will be presented by Jessica Goldman Srebnick , CEO, Goldman Properties, The Goldman Family, Nick Korniloff, Director, Art Wynwood, and Asli Unal , Associate Director of Art Wynwood, during a private four-course dinner at Boulud Sud. The 2019 Art Wynwood line up offers a diverse selection of artworks from nearly 300 artists presented by 65 galleries from more than a dozen countries, including Germany, Chile, Russia, Austria, France, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Switzerland, Colombia and the United States.

Watches & Wonders Miami returns to the Miami Design District on President’s Day Weekend. In this debut of luxury timepieces, the world’s leading watch and jewelry maisons, including Louis Vuitton, Piaget, and Van Cleef & Arpels, De Bethune, Dior, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., OMEGA, Roger Dubuis, Speake-Marin, Tiffany & Co. will showcase their work and also participate in interactive discussions and workshops such as a dedicated women’s program with educational sessions, networking events and exclusive hospitality happenings. Ocean Auto Club
SocialMiami.com’s Events Editor Cristina Mas reports that Ocean Auto Club opened with great fanfare. The 8000 square foot showroom of luxury cars in Doral is owned by Michael Garcia of the Serafín Garcia family. He was joined by baseball stars including Manny Machado, Yonder Alonso, Jon Jay and Alex Rodriguez.
Rodriguez’s firm, Newport Construction, built the beautifully appointed showroom.
Other notables included former Miss Universe Irene Saez, Serafin Garcia, Karina Garcia and Jessica Garcia. The dealership has an inventory of nearly 200 cars, presenting global brands like Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Maserati. Ocean Auto Club is located at 9675 NW 12th Street.
