The Ronald McDonald House Makeover

See the first of a special mini-series entitled “Creating a Home Away from Home, Labor of Love Makeover,” featuring Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida. The series will premiere Saturday, August 22, at 7:30 a.m. on the History Channel (re-airs August 29 at 7:30).

Host Alexi Panos, designer Alena Capera and builder Andrew Dan-Jumbo take on the mission to make over the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Lauderdale. You’ll see the renovation journey along with highlights of families with seriously ill children who have found solace in staying at Ronald McDonald House during difficult times. Produced by Operation Build at Insight Television Productions, the project found a special spot in the hearts of all involved.

“To be given the opportunity to receive such a special gift from Operation Build is priceless,” said Soraya Rivera-Moya, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida. “We have enjoyed being a part of this process and reveled in watching the dedicated passion of production crew members, TV hosts and volunteers as they contribute their time and effort to help make over our Fort Lauderdale house for all our RMHC families. This has truly been a labor of love, and we are forever grateful.”
