Women’s Philanthropy of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation will host an exceptional program, recognizing Jewish women who, through their commitment of time and support of the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign, are helping to care for those in need, fund vital programs and strengthen Jewish life in Miami, in Israel and in more than 70 other countries around the world.
This year’s Women’s Event luncheon, beginning at 11:30 a.m., will celebrate the power of extraordinary women. Among the many highlights of the afternoon will be a keynote address by award-winning singer, dancer, choreographer, actress and television personality Paula Abdul. Back in 2012, the former American Idol judge took her first trip to Israel, where she celebrated a belated bat mitzvah in the northern Israeli town of Safed.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Federation will host a special morning program for those women who participate in the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign at the Lion of Judah level.
This year, Amy Chafetz is Chair of The Women’s Event and Rosi Behar is Chair of the Lion of Judah program. Elise Scheck Bonwitt is President of Women’s Philanthropy and Sheree
Savar is Campaign Chair.

About Greater Miami Jewish Federation
The Mission of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is to mobilize human and financial resources to care for those in need, strengthen Jewish life and advance the unity, values and shared purpose of the Jewish people in Miami, in Israel and around the world.
Established in 1938, Federation is a non-profit organization working to ensure that members of the community act collectively and responsibly to enrich the quality of Jewish life in the Greater Miami area and to meet the needs and safeguard the freedoms of all Jewish people. The Annual Federation/UJA Campaign is the primary instrument through which donors fund a large and highly effective network of social-service, humanitarian and educational programs and agencies in Miami, in Israel and in more than 70 other countries worldwide. In addition to providing opportunities for donors wishing to ensure that their support of the Jewish community continues in perpetuity, The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation can help to create gift plans that meet each donor’s specific philanthropic goals.
Federation’s numerous departments and divisions welcome individuals and families to get involved with the Jewish community through social and networking events, volunteer activities and much more.
