Viceroy Miami Grand Opening

Sharon Stone and Gloria Estefan reunited in Miami when developer Jorge Perez, hotelier Brad Korzen, and designer Kelly Wearstler hosted the opening of their new Viceroy Miami. Stone and Estefan sought each other out while Mad Men’s Jon Hamm picked up cocktails at the bar for girlfriend Jennifer Westfedlt and pal Selma Blair. The group jammed along with director Brett Ratner, Burn Notices’ Jeffery Donavon, designer Alvin Valley, Romero Britto, and Colin Cowie to a special performance by scantily-clad Latin singer Cucu Diamantes. Elie Tahari Grand Opening

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) partnered with artist Jose Alvarez to host the opening of the Elie Tahari boutique at Bal Harbour Shops. ‘An Affair of the Arts’

An Affair of the Arts performance and gala proved once again that the winning recipe for a night to remember includes one part stunning location and one part celebrity-packed guest list, as the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) wrapped up its annual YoungArts Week with an elegant black tie affair for nearly 600 guests at the newly renovated Fontainebleau Hotel, in the spectacular Glimmer Ballroom on the Ocean. Webster Boutique Opening

Webster founders Milan Vukmirovic, Laure Hériard Dubreuil and Frederic Dechnik opened their doors for a private unveiling of The Webster’s permanent location with one of the most inspiring and influential jewelry designers, Solange Azagury-Partridge. Hosted by Barbara Becker, Susanne Birbragher, Christina Getty-Maercks, Monica Kalpakian, Norma Quintero, Michele Rubell and Lydia Prio Touzet, Miami’s high fashion society got a glimpse of the 20,000 square foot luxury multi-brand fashion boutique as well as a glance into Solange’s modern yet poetic and surrealistic jewelry designs from the latest collection. Destination Fashion 2009

More than 2000 partygoers from the worlds of entertainment, sports, philanthropy and fashion descended upon Bal Harbour Shops for Destination Fashion 2009, Presented by Stewart Rahr, to benefit The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, the fundraising arm of The Miami Project. Multi-platinum recording artist SEAL brought the house down with a rockin’ show under the stars and The Pointer Sisters wowed the crowd with their disco beats. Women of Tomorrow 8th Annual Gala

Latin actor and singer JenCarlos Canela, was so inspired by the group of at-risk young women who visited Telemundo last year that he composed a song, “Start Living Your Life” in their honor, and in a surprise for Women of Tomorrow supporters, performed it live during the organization’s sold out 8th annual gala held at the Mandarin Oriental. Manny Shoots Basel

Art Basel came and went and Manny Hernandez was there with a schedule that was second to none. Louboutin, McPhearson, Soffer, De Molina, Cisneros, Fendi, Robins and more – and that was just Monday! On Tuesday, Manny shot the exclusive Roger Vivier opening in Bal Harbour. Later in the week Manny photographed a private dinner at Solea hosted by Peter Brant, Alberto Mugrabi, and Aby Rosen followed by an after party at WALL hosted by Alex Dellal, Starvos Niarchos, and Vito Schnabel. Lingerie Miami

Eva Longoria Parker and Veronica Webb hosted the event that raised more than $200,000 to benefit global microfinance organizations that help benefit and empower impoverished women who earn less than $1 a day in six countries including Colombia, the United States, Brazil, Jamaica, Mexico and India. Renata Mutis Black, founder of Lingerie Miami, along with the 7Bar Foundation welcomed the international luxury-lingerie brands whose designers revealed their latest collections on the same catwalk in the United States for the first time ever. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim

The final night of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim was a full-on party. Following the Mara Hoffman show, SocialMiami retreated to the Mercedes-Benz VIP suite at the Raleigh Hotel where Hoffman came with family and friends. On hand were “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dina Manzo and “Real Housewives of New York’s” Kelly Killoren Bensimon. From there SocialMiami headed to the Cabaña Grande for the Xtra Life LYCRA fiber 2010 Swimwear Show and cocktail reception. This show mixed and matched brands that used Lycra fiber and was very theatrical and fun. Free drinks flowed freely while models strutted the catwalk wearing colorful suites, fabulous shoes and funky head garments.
