United Way’s Sixth Annual Miami-Style Winter Wonderland featuring a toy drive and silent auction

Monika Blaya and Theresa McDonald
Over 300 of United Way of Miami-Dade’s Young Leaders celebrated the spirit of the season at Shine at the Shelborne Beach Resort on Miami Beach. This annual holiday party brought together many young professionals who care about their community. Together they collected almost 450 toys to be distributed to Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Greater Miami, a United Way of Miami-Dade agency. The holiday party raised an additional $5,000 which will benefit United Way’s Center for Excellence in Early Education.

A huge thank you to Shine and the sponsors of this great event: Codina, Deloitte, Holland & Knight, Northern Trust, Practice Partners, Inc., Shutts & Bowen LLP, Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A., and Weiss Serota Helfman Pastoriza Cole & Boniske, P.A.

Also, a special thank you to the Young Leader Executive Committee members who helped to make this event such a success.
