On behalf of Voices For Children Foundation, real estate and construction industry veteran Brad Meltzer hosted the organization’s 17th annual golf invitational at La Gorce Country Club, raising over $280,000. The tournament welcomed approximately 100 of Miami’s most influential and philanthropic individuals for a fun day out on the course to safeguard the best interests of children in Miami-Dade County’s foster care system. “Being able to call upon my friends from the South Florida Real Estate and Construction Industry year after year to support children in Miami-Dade that have been neglected and abandoned and to raise so much money and awareness is just incredible,” says Meltzer. “Year in and year out this group comes together and makes a major difference.”
Funds raised will be used to ensure that every abused, abandoned, and neglected child in Miami-Dade County’s foster care system has the resources and advocacy to meet their health, educational and social needs. “Brad has been on the Board of Voices For Children for over 6 years and continues to tirelessly support Voices,” says incoming board chair Kira Grossman. “We are so grateful for his support and fundraising efforts in hosting the annual golf tournament at La Gorce. The invitational is one of the most looked forward to events every year.”

About Voices For Children Foundation
Voices For Children Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that raises funds to help ensure that abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Miami-Dade County each have a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem and that financial assistance and other resources are available for their health, educational, and social needs. Guardians ad Litem are trained, court-appointed adults who serve as their representative voices in dependency court proceedings. Currently, 100% of the 1,350 children in Miami-Dade County’s foster care system are receiving advocacy and support services from the Guardian ad Litem Program.
