Voices For Children Foundation HSBC Gala
Nearly 500 of the most influential members of the community gathered at Mandarin Oriental, Miami for the Voices For Children’s 10th Annual Be A Voice*Be a Hero Gala, presented by HSBC. The gala, which celebrated the Chinese New Year, benefits the abused and neglected children served by the 11th Judicial Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program.
A “who’s who” list of VIPs attended the exquisite event, including HSBC executives Seamus McMahon, EVP President of the Atlantic Region; Donna M. Funk, Vice President of Community and Philanthropic Services HSBC – North America; and Manuel Diaz, President of Private Banking; plus The Honorable Carmenza Jaramillo de Maincourt, Consul General of Colombia; The Honorable Phillippe Vinogradoff, Consul General of France; Countess Eva Kendeffy, Consul General of Germany; Mayor of Key Biscayne, Robert Oldakowski; Lama Migmar, Buddhist Chaplain at Harvard University; and Geshe Lhakdor, Director of Tibetan Archives, Dharamsala, and personal translator for His Holiness, The Dalai Lama.
The festive Chinese New Year celebrations included an oriental menu, authentic décor, top notch entertainment, and a silent and Chinese auction of luxurious items.
