2011 Magic Of Broadway Annual Gala.
The JW Marriott hotel’s ballroom was transformed into Times Square for a show-stopping extravaganza of music, dancing and live performances by Young Patronesses of the Opera (YPO) for the 2011 Magic of Broadway Annual Gala. Pieces from Hair were performed in an effort to raise funds for music and opera educational programs including professional children’s opera performances which are presented to over 45,000 elementary school students annually. The guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, a silent auction and mini live vignettes of notable Broadway shows, such as Chorus Line, Pippin, and Chicago. The Gala benefactors were Bunny Bastian, Swanee DiMare, Yvonne Eldredge, Judy George, Linda Neider Sugrue and Patricia Wallace while the Gala chairwomen were Marilyn Cesarano, Holly Freyre, Alba Herzberg, Linda Neider Sugrue and Lisa Wheeler.
