5th Annual “Claws for Kids” Brunch at Joe’s Stone Crab
140,000 raised for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s South Beach Location
More than 400 people brunched at Joe’s Stone Crab for the 5th Annual “Claws for Kids” benefit. The event raised a record-breaking $140,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s newly opened 11,000-sq.-ft South Beach location at 1200 Michigan Avenue.
Judith Kramer, retired Miami-Dade County Public Schools executive, chaired the event, which honored Florida Power & Light Company with the “From the Heart Award.” Irene White, Director of External Affairs & Corporate Energy Outreach, accepted the award.
Dr. Michael and Lynda Gordon returned as the event’s Main Claw Sponsor; Ocean Bank was the Matching Claw Sponsor; James and Joan Bernhardt, Carmen Rebozo Foundation, Lennar, and Performance Team Sports were Large Claw Sponsors; and Peter L. and Kerrin Bermont with Victor and Lisa Mendelson, and Eller-ITO Stevedoring Company LLC were Claw Sponsors.
