Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s trendiest event of the year is back! The 6th Annual Splendor in the Garden fashion show and luncheon will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fairchild has teamed up with Neiman Marcus Coral Gables to present a fabulous runway show curated by Neiman Marcus’s renowned fashion director, Ken Downing.

This year’s event, which will attract a fashion forward crowd of more than 400 guests, is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables and Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay and is co-chaired by Barbara Hevia and Lydia Touzet. Honorary co-chairs are Swanee DiMare and Frances Sevilla-Sacasa. Proceeds will benefit Fairchild’s programs in education, science, and conservation.

Models walk in runway finale

Guests will be treated to garden tours during the champagne reception, followed by a gourmet lunch and Spring 2017 fashion show presented by Neiman Marcus Coral Gables. Following the fashion show, the 2017 Fairchild Philanthropy Awards will be presented to this year’s honorees, who are chosen for their dedication to supporting the Garden and the community at large.
