Who Wore What to Where by Elysze Held
This past week has been a whirlwind of fashion-was it fashion week in Miami? Five, yes 5! astounding previews for Spring 2014 showed this week all around town: Spring Trends with La Prarie hosted by our own Elysze Held at Saks Bal Harbour; The Etro Runway Show direct from Milan at PAMM; The Runway Report with Neiman Marcus’ irresistible VP Wizard Ken Downing and Fairchild Garden’s gorgeous “Splendor in the Garden” hosted by Neiman Marcus Merrick Park, styled by Mr. Downing and lastly a Salon showing of evening couture designer Sha Ali’s collection at Casa Korge in Pinecrest. But accessories are not to be forgotten-the Opening of the Furla Store in Merrick Park and the Preview of the Spring/Summer Collection of Elisabetta Armellin’s V-73 in the Design District. And SocialMiami’s Fashion Contributor, Stylist Elysze Held was everywhere and spotted a few notable Spring 2014 trends amongst the glitterati of Miami.

FGO After Opera Event
To celebrate the opening night performance of Florida Grand Opera’s elaborate production of Giuseppe Verdi’s Nabucco, patrons and donors continued the festivities for an After Opera Event hosted at Barton G’s Prelude Restaurant located in the heart of The Adrienne Arts Center for the for the Performing Arts. General Director Susan T. Danis, Maestro Ramón Tebar, and the Principal Artists from Nabucco were on hand to toast, dine and mingle during this post-performance tradition. After Opera Events follow opening night of each Florida Grand Opera production in both Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Larry Poons Exhibition in Key Biscayne
Over 400 people were on hand to attend the opening of an exhibition of current works by Larry Poons at The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center in Key Biscayne. An accomplished abstract painter, Larry’s impressive career spans over five decades. The show continues through May 3, 2014
