Poetry North
The scene was cool and the vibe intelligent as celebrity chef Dewey LoSasso – with wife Dale – hosted Poetry North at their North One 10 restaurant in North Miami. Led by the New Times 2007 Poet of the Year, Howard Camner, the packed house enjoyed the words of several readers while sipping on champagne generously donated by Moët Chandon and eating food from LoSasso’s poetry-themed, fixed-price menu.
“Events like this are a prime example of where the Biscayne Corridor is and where it is going,” said LoSasso. “Now more than ever, culture and art exist throughout South Florida and we’re proud that North One 10 can contribute to it. In addition to the poetry, fine art was provided by the Steve Martin Gallery in Miami’s Design District, which added to the overall aesthetic of the evening.”
