Summary: Green Art USA will show a preview of its upcoming conceptual art installation for 2009 titled Eco-mmunities ™ , representing the undeniable connection between humanity and what we as humans can do to help save our planet. Displayed as one, these two very important components have a meaningful message to deliver to those who capture the human beauty wearing accessories made of recycled materials following our mission statement “more art, less waste”. We will create art pieces as accessories to be displayed in re-used mannequins from different recycled materials saving them from going onto the landfill, with the purpose of reducing the negative impacts in the environment threatening the survival of humans and other living species. The art pieces will be designed by Green Art USA artists: Mickey Dobovan, Nohan Mancia, Thania Aguirre, Alexis Rodriguez and Luis Valenzuela. Jorge Parra photographer also green art USA member will be presenting his campaign “Change 10”, the concept behind it is to showcase how easy it is for everyone to actively engage in helping the sustainability of our future life by doing very small efforts.

Summary: Come celebrate Earth Hour with a Coastal Ecology program along the beach in Key Biscayne. The Coastal Ecology program will provide you with a broad background on all the South Florida ecosystems that exist within the Bear Cut Nature Preserve on Key Biscayne. The participants will learn about the history of the barrier island of Key Biscayne, plus how every ecosystem is connected, and how people impact the environment. Activities include a beach and hammock walk, a butterfly exploration in our garden, a walk through the mangroves, and a visit to our exhibit room which houses the various marine animals in the sea grass beds off the Bear Cut Preserve. The Cost is Free, but there is a $5 parking fee to enter Crandon Park
