Afj Honors “shaggy”

The American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) honored Grammy Award-winning recording artist Orville “Shaggy” Burrell at the 7th Annual Peacock Soiree held at Jungle Island. Diamond-selling performer Shaggy was recognized for his philanthropic role in assisting the Bustamante Hospital for Children in Kingston, Jamaica. To the surprise of gala guests Shaggy performed on stage with the Jolly Boys, a famous mento band from Jamaica. The event raised significant funds for Jamaican Charities that support education, healthcare and economic development initiatives on the island.
