Paws 4 You Rescue Honors Donna Shalala
Paws 4 You Rescue’s Casino Night at UM’s Newman Alumni Center raised $80,000 to continue its mission to rescue, treat and find permanent homes for our community’s homeless pets. Emceed by Dave Barry (who has adopted a rescue dog), the 250 guests paid tribute to Donna Shalala and her rescue dog Sweetie. Event sponsor Jeffrey Feiler raised $23,000 on the spot when he challenged guests to help him replace the doggie doors at the kennel.
