Alex Rodriguez Educational Center Opening
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade celebrated the opening of the Alex Rodriguez Educational Center at a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and private reception. Alex Rodriguez, City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, City of Miami Commissioners Marc Sarnoff and Francis Suarez joined the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs at the ceremony. The Alex Rodriguez Educational Center is an 8,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that houses two technology labs, an area for internet use, classrooms and homework study areas and a large teen center, where kids can get together and enjoy games and equipment. Hundreds of children will use the two-story building every week.
