Arison Arts Foundation
Miami Art Museum designated the Arison Arts Foundation as one of its Patrons of the Collection in a ceremony honoring art donors held in conjunction with the opening of its latest exhibition, Recent Acquisitions. MAM President Gail Meyers presented Christina de Paul, President and CEO of the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts, who received the honor on behalf of the Foundation, with a pin designed by Miami artist Michele Oka Doner. The Arison Arts Foundation is the fourth member of the Patrons of the Collection, which consists of collectors whose gifts of art to MAM have totaled more than $1 million. Charter members Charles Cowles, Mimi Floback and Jeffrey Loria, were inducted in ceremonies accompanying the Power of Ten, which marked the Museum’s 10th anniversary as a collecting institution in 2007.
