The month of November each year proves to be the month of partnership—South Florida stores supporting local charities with cocktail receptions, luncheons, shopping events, and Gala kick-offs. Stylist Elysze Held marveled at the combination of panache and polish at the many events this month, all in the name of philanthropy …and style!

Studio Visit: James Weingrod
In celebration of Art Basel, SocialMiami visited the National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) to meet their current artist in residence, James Weingrod, who will be in residence at the YoungArts campus from through December 21, 2014.
Weingrod’s work examines the Universe through direct reference to scientific imagery of the cosmos as well as through more abstract philosophical ideas relating to the current understanding of the Universe and our place within it. In his paintings he often employs depictions of NASA’s photographs of stellar, solar, and other phenomena, while his sculptures explore more abstract concepts like infinity, relativity, fractals, holography and time.
