Artcenter/south Florida Names Executive Director
Maria Del Valle Hernandez has joined ArtCenter/South Florida as Executive Director. A leader in the industry with more than 20 years experience in the U.S. and internationally, Del Valle’s extensive experience parallels her deep appreciation for South Florida’s diverse landscape. Born in Madrid, Spain, she shares a personal affinity for Miami’s multi-cultural audiences. Prior to accepting the position at AC/SF, she was named Executive Director at the Center for the Creation of the Arts (CREAA) in Madrid. Further honing her strategic planning, development and management skills, this contract position was a natural extension of Del Valle’s previous employment with the Centro Cultural Español of Spain in Miami, where she was Executive Director and Cultural Attaché from 2004 to 2010. Additionally, in this role, she served as advisor to the Consul General of Spain in cultural affairs.
