Branches will celebrate its 13th Annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans Benefit Dinner and Auction at the JW Marriott Marquis. Over 400 guests are expected to attend and help raise valuable resources for Branches’ programs which provide services and life-changing opportunities to low-income children, youth and families focused on long-term success.

The event will kick off with a cocktail reception and a silent auction, followed by dinner and dancing, as well as an appeal and an exciting live auction, led by Master of Ceremonies Carlos Suarez, WPLG Local 10 News Anchor, and Auctioneer Scott Howard.

Nancy Batchelor; Bill Jones, Board Member; Brent McLaughlin, Executive Director; Trish and Dan Bell, Philanthropic Chairs and Honorees; and Jon Batchelor

The event will also feature the Trish and Dan Bell Community Empowerment Award, which will be presented to the Batchelor Foundation, honoring founder George E. Batchelor. All proceeds from the appeal of that evening will support Branches’ 7-week-long Summer Shade Camp serving 400+ children, and all donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a generous Challenge Grant provided by Trish and Dan Bell.

Nicole Krauss of Publix and Laurie Zapletal of BB&T will co-chair the event, and Trish and Dan Bell will serve as the Philanthropic Chairs.

About Branches

Branches provides opportunities for working poor families to help them and their children become better educated and more financially stable in the long-term.

Our program areas that serve children and youth focus on student achievement, and our Achieve programs focus on financial stability services for families and individuals.

The Grow program provides after-school enrichment and tutoring for elementary students. The Climb program serves middle and high school students to enable them to succeed in school and life. The Achieve programs serve adults and provide small business development services, free tax prep, affordable car loans, and hunger relief. We also provide personal financial coaching through the United Way Center for Financial Stability, which we house and operate.
