Branches will celebrate its 14th Annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans Benefit Dinner and Auction on April 22, 2017, at the JW Marriott Marquis. Over 450 guests are expected to attend and help raise valuable resources for Branches’ programs which provide services and life-changing opportunities to low-income children, youth and families focused on long-term success.

The event will kick off with a cocktail reception and a silent auction, followed by dinner and dancing, as well as an appeal and an exciting live auction, led by Master of Ceremonies Calvin Hughes, WPLG Local 10 News Anchor, and Auctioneer Scott Howard.

The event will also feature the presentation of the Trish and Dan Bell Community Empowerment Award, which will be presented to David Lawrence, Jr. All proceeds from the appeal of the evening will support Branches’ 7-week-long Summer Shade Camp serving 400+ children. All appeal donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a generous Challenge Grant provided by Trish and Dan Bell.

Dustin Symes of City National Bank and Laurie Zapletal of BB&T will co-chair the event, and Trish and Dan Bell will serve as the Philanthropic Chairs.

The Grow program provides after-school enrichment and tutoring for elementary students. The Climb program serves middle and high school students to enable them to succeed in school and life. The Achieve programs serve adults and provide small business development services, free tax prep and hunger relief.
