Grand occasions such as birthdays and mitzvahs didn’t stop because of Covid but the celebrations halted and are now resuming, now as events in which hosts ensure safety is a priority. It is important to cultivate a plan when it comes to protecting people and throwing an unforgettable celebration. Here’s the scoop on how your event can follow safety guidelines yet still be fun, festive and photo worthy.

Personalized safety masks.

Personalized Safety Swag: A part of the new normal, and a major event trend of 2020 is personalized masks. There is no better time for personal branding! Custom masks and hand sanitizers create a new wow factor and thoughtfulness for your guests. This takes event branding to a whole new level. Get fun and creative with your sanitizing stations. Gloves should also be readily available to guests that prefer a little more protection.

Innovative Catering: You may question how catering can become safe and still friendly during your next event. You can say goodbye to the buffet style cuisine! Interactive food stations of any kind are a great choice and can be positioned behind plexiglass screens. Another creative option includes curated prepackaged foods. These takeaway meals can be packaged in branded boxes or bags with different meal and drink options. Bites to-go are a great way to treat your guests who don’t feel comfortable staying for the duration of your event.

The Bar: There are many ways to maintain a lively and festive bar without compromising your guests’ comfort. The most popular option for optimizing safety are customized bottles of soda, water, and juices. Bottled drinks are easy to brand and display for guests without any risk. Alternatively, you can create a signature drink that can be served in a beverage dispenser for easy access and guests to enjoy.  Of course, you can always consider having a bartender on hand as well.

Careful catering precautions.

Event Location: Confirm what is permitted in your city, county, and state the event will be in and review the necessary CDC guidelines to ensure safety. The next step is finding the right venue for your vision and comfort. Do you prefer your event take place at a restaurant, hotel, or outdoor space? Each venue has different requirements and/or limitations. The venue will also determine the number of guests. Remember that small and intimate does not mean less fabulous. Alternatively, hosting an at home event may be of more comfort to you and your guests.
