Russell Thomas, 1998 New World School of the Arts music alumnus, will perform alongside the NWSA Symphony Orchestra and Choir during the school’s annual symphony concert. Under the baton of Maestro Alfred Gershfeld, the orchestra performance will feature Gounod’s ballet suite from Faust, Tchaikovsky’s Capriccio Italienne, Verdi’s Overture to La Forza del Destino and Va Pensiero from Nabucco. Russell Thomas will sing arias from opera favorites including Bizet’s Carmen, Massanet’s Werther, Verdi’s Ottelo and Mascagni’s Cavelleria Rusticana. Tickets are $20 general admission and $10 for students and seniors.
