Frost Science Portable Planetarium
Family/Children Events
The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science has created a new concept for bringing the universe closer to families with the Frost Science Portable Planetarium. This 20” x 20” inflatable planetarium will make its first appearance to the general public at Southland Mall’s “Festive Fridays,” located in the mall’s Center Court. Up to now, only students from Miami-Dade County Public Schools have been able to experience this mobile planetarium system, which accommodates approximately 35 individuals at a time. This will allow the community to explore the cosmos through an unforgettable one-of-a-kind experience. Guests will immerse themselves in a 360-degree galaxy environment. Guests will also have the chance to learn about the new museum, as well as learn other ways to get involved with the museum. Admission is free.
