The New World School of the Arts High School music theater students present the award-winning musical In the Heights, just in time to welcome the holiday season. In the Heights is the story of a close-knit Hispanic neighborhood in Washington Heights, New York. In the Heights comes full circle as Tony-Award winning orchestrator of the musical, Alex Lacamoire, had his own artistic beginnings as a music student of New World School of the Arts in the late 1980s. Opening Night is Friday at 7:30 p.m. with additional performances on Friday, December 7, Saturdays, December 1 & 8, and Sundays, December 2 and 9 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10.
