Miami City Ballet’s Program Two is eclectic, ushering in 20th century dance with three strong Company Premieres: Peter Martins’ raw and witty Calcium Light Night; Jerome Robbins’ Glass Pieces, danced to a thrilling score by Philip Glass; and Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s poignant duet adapted from the popular musical, Carousel Pas de Deux. Serenade, one of George Balanchine’s most famous and cherished ballets – and an MCB signature work — rounds out this must-see program. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2.
