The score includes the lush music of Faur for the romantic Emeralds section, a witty, jazzy and scintillating Stravinsky score for Rubies, and a classical goldmine in the finale section, Diamonds, with music by Tchaikovsky. New York City Ballet premiered Jewels in 1967, making this the 50th anniversary, and MCB is celebrating this Balanchine signature ballet, last performed 10 years ago. Performances on Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday 2 p.m. & 8 p.m.; and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets: $25 – $105.
