The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) will offer journalism classes for teens ages 14 through 18. The MOCAzine camp is a five-week intensive program that provides students with the opportunity to learn writing and art making skills. Each week will have a different theme to help students discover the basics of photojournalism and graphic design. Taught by professionals in the field, the MOCAzine camp inspires students and prepares them for real-world experiences as aspiring writers and artists. Dates and themes: July 18-22 Photojournalism; July 25-29 Illustrating Narrative; August 1-5 The Art of Listening; August 8-12 Create a Zine Workshop; August 15-19 Storyboards. MOCAzine is free but space is limited.
