Excerpts of opera favorites in Opera Scenes will be presented in Miami Beach, performed by members of the NWSA Opera Theater Ensemble and directed by NWSA faculty member of Voice and Opera, Rodney Miller. These scenes will be from famous operas – both serious and comic – and will include a preview of Two Widows, a beautiful and little known opera by Smetana, which will be presented as a fully staged production on March 18 and 19 at the Lehman Theater located at Miami Dade College North Campus. This is an opportunity to see and hear NWSA’s wonderfully talented young singers as they learn to present themselves in a minimalist setting. This event is free and open to the public.
