New World School of the Arts’ annual Rising Stars Showcase highlights the remarkable next generation of artists. With a cutting-edge exhibition followed by a professionally staged, energy-packed, Broadway-style performance, Rising Stars is an exhilarating evening of art, dance, music and theater. The showcase begins at the New World Gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Rising Stars Visual Arts Exhibition titled “Objects.” a juried exhibition that features impressive student artworks. The evening continues just a few blocks away at the historic Olympia Theater at 7 p.m. with the performance showcases featuring excerpts from works performed by the high school and the college students during the school year.
