Enjoy Carlos Machado Quintela’s debut feature film, The Swimming Pool (La Piscina), at the Perez Art Museum Miami. The film is presented in conjunction with On the Horizon: Contemporary Cuban Art from the Jorge M. Perez Collection. The film follows the day of four differently-abled teenagers at a Havana swimming pool, where the boundaries of the swimming pool wash away into the endless horizon. The aimless day stretches on forever, and unspoken tension builds in the restless adolescents. Free with museum admission ($16).
