The NWSA Wind Ensemble will perform an array of works that is sure to delight from beginning to end to round off the year with the High School Wind Ensemble Concert. The performance will be led by maestro Brent Mounger and will feature guest conductor and former NWSA Wind Ensemble director, Lee Morrison. The concert will feature Pietro Mascagni’s sublime Intermezzo from the opera Cavalleria Rusticana arranged by Joseph Kreines, Arturo Marquez’s world famous Danzon No. 2, Percy Granger’s Molly on the Shore, and David Maslanka’s short symphony in two movement that takes the listener from a meditative opening through to an exciting, fast, energetic and profound ending.
