Florida Grand Opera 75th Anniversary Gala

After the opening performance of CARMEN and the roaring applause that followed, the curtain closed but for Florida Grand Opera and its most esteemed patrons, the show was just beginning. The 75th Anniversary Gala was held afterward at the Adrienne Arsht Center of Performing Arts. Guests after enjoying cocktails escorted by elaborately dressed matadors to the main stage – now reset with roses and china – where dinner was served. There, the opera company chose four aspiring singers helped to honor the incredible impact of Marvin and Isa Leibowitz, David and Olga Melin, Laurans and Arlene Mendelson, Dr. Morton and Jane Robinson. Also in attendance, John Agnetti, Susan Feldman, Calvin Griffin, Adelaide Boedecker, Bob and Florence Werner, Ogla and David Melin.
