Greater Miami Jewish Federation Women’s Event

Nearly 800 women from across Miami’s Jewish community gathered for a morning filled with inspiration at The Women’s Event of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, which was chaired by Amanda Adler and took place at the Hilton Miami Downtown.

This signature event raised over $1.4 million dollars for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Annual Campaign to care for those in need, support more than 160 vital programs and strengthen Jewish life in Miami, in Israel and in more than 70 other countries around the world.

Headlining The Women’s Event was entrepreneur and best-selling author Randi Zuckerberg, who gave a passionate and entertaining speech filled with anecdotes — and even an original song — about being a woman in Silicon Valley and strengthening her Jewish identity along the way. One highlight of the event was when Randi became a Lion of Judah, joining nearly 18,000 women worldwide who donate at least $5,000 annually to Jewish Federations in their own name, signified by the Lion of Judah pin they wear. Guests brought school lunch items and grocery store gift cards to donate to Federation beneficiary agency Jewish Community Services’ Kosher Food Bank for local children.

Sara Bejar is Women’s Philanthropy President and Ilene Kossman is Women’s Philanthropy Campaign Chair.
