MCHF Diamond Society Appreciation Dinner

Miami Children’s Health Foundation (MCH Foundation) recently held its annual Diamond Society Appreciation Dinner and Recognition Ceremony, on May 12th at the Coral Gables Country Club, to thank the generous donors who support its mission on behalf of the children and families who depend on Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The private dinner brought together prominent community leaders, philanthropists, and media executives who have pledged their support to the children and families who depend on Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The event also celebrated the Foundation’s success in raising an unprecedented $71.5 million in 2015. With the overwhelming support of the community for Together For The Children, MCH Foundation’s capital campaign, the foundation will be entering the campaign’s second phase two years ahead of schedule.

Together For The Children was launched in 2011 with the goal to fundraise $150 million dollars through 2017. Jack and Barbara Nicklaus, widely recognized as the most renowned, revered and philanthropic family in the game of golf, serve as Chairs of the campaign. This fundraising initiative has already made possible many enhancements for the hospital, including supporting construction of the soon-to-open 212,000-square-foot Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion. This new facility will include provisions for three new family-centered intensive care units. Funds also support emergency and trauma preparedness, and enhancements to the globally recognized centers of excellence at the hospital, including the Heart Program, Cancer Center and Brain Institute.
